Residents at Alastrean House care home enjoyed their Burns Night supper on Thursday 25th January 2018. Rob McCombie, a local accordianist from Tarland, entertained the residents and their guests, to an evening of Robbie Burns music. The residents enjoyed watching some younger guests, who addressed the haggis and read some doric and scottish poetry. A couple of the residents commented on how special it was to see young people visiting them. One of the visitors also took to the floor to join Rob to sing some Bothy Ballads, which everyone joined in with! The evening finished with everyone singing Auld Lang Syne. The next day the residents were talking about how much they had enjoyed the evening and how they are looking forwards to more events at Alastrean House in the future!
