The feeling of Isolation and loneliness can have a terrible effect on physical and mental wellbeing, so having a place where people can go to be part of a friendly and active group is a really wonderful thing. Life at Luncartyhas actvities going on all of the time with their coffee and cake days, walking groups and other activities in the home, but we are also part of the wider community in the area. Just one example is the Nursery Children coming to visit, we also have Pet Therapy Dogs and the Local Brownies come for visits.

Residents at Luncarty recently enjoyed a visit from the children at The Honeypot Nursery who came to sing them some Christmas songs and carols.

Children from the nursery come in to the home regularly to entertain the residents. We know how important good links with the community is for the nursery this is a two-way thing - not only is it beneficial for the people living in the home, but children also get to learn, see a different environment and meet older people.

What a treat it was. All of the residents really enjoyed the visit, singing along with the children.

To the surprise of the children Santa himself must have heard them singing and popped down to reward them with a tasty treat! Some of our residents also got a chance to tell santa what their christmas wish was too.

Well done and Thank you to all involved.

Merry Christmas Everyone from Management and staff at Luncarty House! xXx
