Residents at Luncarty House celebrated Dignity in Care this week in a number of ways.

Firstly Residents talked about what Dignity in Care means to them and we created the Luncarty Digni-tree.  Residents expressed views that are already in line with staff approach so it was lovely to see a visual reminder of this.

We then went on to welcome musician Mr Neil Robertson to the home,  who carried on the happy ambience with his fantastic banjo and ukulele playing.  Our Residents loved this and sang along to the well-known tunes.

We ended the day with a Digni-tea session.  Five different kinds of tea were on offer: Blackcurrant, Peppermint, Earl Grey, Raspberry and Cranberry.  As well as three different types of coffee: Nescafe, Latte’s and Cappuccino’s, along with Tunnocks Teacakes which were the biscuit of the day requested by Betty one of our Residents.

The full day was uplifting and a fantastic day for both residents and staff alike.
