Willowbank celebrated The National Care Home Open day with style.  We started off our day with Musical Entertainment from Carnoustie High School Pupils which was thoroughly enjoyed by our residents.  In the afternoon we had various stalls manned wonderfully by Ladies from Holyrood Church and Carnoustie High School Pupils.  There were many people milling about which was great to see.  But the Icing on the Cake was a visit from "Flicker" a Shetland Pony from Therapy Ponies Scotland.  This was an absolutely amazing experience.  It was fantastic to see "Flicker" wandering through our home stopping at everyone who wanted to pet him.  The residents and our visitors were very taken with "Flicker".  "Flicker" even went in our lift to see one of our residents upstairs.  I would thoroughly recommed this experience to any care home.  What a fantastic day and one to talk about for a long time.
