Pitlochry- High school project visit

Care for the elderly- High school Students

With so much happening this week we couldn't miss the opportunity to also welcome Pitlochry high school modern studies class with a show around the home. The class are doing a school project on care for the elderly and wanted to come in to a working home to see what we do.

They started with a usual client show around and finishing off with a question and answer session with a special invite from one of the residents.

They then interviewed this gentleman who also asked the pupils along to his room to show them his happy space. The resident gladly shared stories of Pitlochry after the war and read them one of his Poems.

Sadly they were only in for a short time but look forward to another visit from them.

We would like to thank Mr Delahunt for making us part of his class and chosing a topic that enabled us to share a small part of Pitlochry that students wouldn't normally visit.

All of these chances with the children are great for the residents who throughly enjoy having the students around the home and talk about it for many days after.
