As part of the Queens celebrations, three residents from Huntly, who all turn 90 this year, were invited to attend the Royal Garden Party at Aswanley, Glass in Aberdeen.

Eleanor, Dorothy and Anna were invited by the Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire to attend the prestigious event. They were delighted to be invited along with a relative and member of staff from the home.

It was a memorable day for all three ladies, particularly when Dorothy met the Lady of Aberdeen who she actually looked after in the 1960’s when she was a child.

Each of our ladies left with a commemorative coin, Fiona Kennedy CD and a slice of the Queen’s birthday cake, most of all they left having thoroughly enjoying themselves.

To the delight of all attendees, The Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire read out a letter from the Queen to everyone which was then followed by entertainment from The Glass Gals, Shona Donaldson and also a fiddler who.
