On Friday 26th June St Ronan’s care home transformed into a Hawaiian resort as residents, relatives, staff and pupils of Cragiebarns primary school dressed up in Hula skirts for the Hawaiian themed party.

In the morning the school children took part in many activities including hook the duck, hoopla and a bouncy castle. After having a Hawaiian lunch the children returned to school but the party continued in the afternoon with singing and dancing with Rob Clark playing guitar. There was plenty of food and the open bar went down a treat especially the Balhousie Bomber!

"Wouldn't believe it's an old folks home"

The success of the party was clear among all who attended. Bardera Clubb, a resident summarised the event when she said ‘Anybody coming in wouldn’t believe this is an old folks home, it’s great.’

Not only did the Hawaiian party provide everyone with hours of fun and entertainment but also raised £170 for the residents comfort fund.
