Balhousie Care Group attended the Alzheimer Scotland Crystal Ball at Prestonfield House Hotel on Saturday 26th November to help raise money for their charity funds.

It was attended by ten members of the Balhousie team with a mixture of carers, nurses, dementia ambassadors and management. It formed a great team building night and also enabled us to support our new charity partner, Alzheimer Scotland.

Ahead of the event we spoke with our Dementia Consultant, Yvonne Manson about her views on attending the ball:

This is a great opportunity to support the charity but more so, it’s a great opportunity to include and reward our Dementia Ambassadors for the hard work they have delivered over the year. It’s important to me to celebrate the successes that we achieve from the dementia strategy with the team who deliver it. They are the people who work day in day out with residents are really take on board new initiatives that we look to implement.’

Ambassadors from Pitlochry, Antiquary, Moyness and Ruthven Towers attended and were not disappointed. From start to finish it was a night of elegance and importance as money raised was going direct to support individuals living with dementia. However the overarching theme for the night was fun. With excellent entertainment and friendly company it was a night to be remembered. Our Dementia Ambassadors commented:

We had a wonderful time and felt spoilt the whole evening; from the hotel to the event. Not only was it fun but was great to feel valued from the company. We’ll always remember our night.
