Balhousie Care Group is thrilled to announce the shortlist of Tracey Salmond as a finalist in the Nurse of the Year award category in the 2014 Scottish Care awards.

Tracey was nominated for the award by colleagues, relatives and residents of Balhousie Wheatlands for her outstanding support and performance delivered within her role as a Nurse.

Care home manager, Grace Sloan commented: ‘Tracey is a true reflection of what a nurse should represent. She is compassionate, caring and professional; however her greatest strength is the respectful and dignified manner in which she cares for all residents in our home.”

“A nursing role can often be challenging, however Tracey will always ensure a resident’s needs are priority. It is often commented on by relatives how much they appreciate the support Tracey provides. She is a great person and a great nurse, everyone at Wheatlands is very proud of her.”

Tracey will attend the lavish award ceremony on Friday 21st November at the Hilton Hotel Glasgow, hosted by Michelle McManus. Winners of all 13 awards will be announced on the night.
