More Information
Balhousie Antiquary Care Home is situated in the coastal town of Arbroath. This coastal town is of course home to the famous delicacy “Arbroath Smokie”. The town holds an annual two day fish festival in the summer and each year a pageant is held to re-enact the Scottish Declaration of Independence. Balhousie Antiquary is set in beautifully manicured gardens.
The home benefits from a recent substantial refurbishment to every room and communal area and is one of the most impressive properties in the Balhousie Group. Following the opening of the new 'Westway Suite' in January 2009, Balhousie Antiquary Care Home now provides nursing care to 58 residents, all of whom enjoy stylish surroundings and modern en suite facilities to all bedrooms.
The Westway Suite joins Balhousie Antiquary Care Home as a 20-bed self contained unit specifically designed and designated for people with dementia and associated mental health issues. A major extension project and investment for Balhousie Care Group, The Westway Suite welcomed it's first residents in January 2009.
Fee Information
Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £550 (the Local Authority rate) and £750 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
