More Information
Crieff is the main town of Strathearn lying on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. It has long been a popular holiday resort and is the second largest town in Perthshire. Once an ancient cattle market and Scottish 'frontier town' where Highlanders would come for the great cattle trysts, cattle were driven from all over the north of Scotland to be sold to lowland buyers. Many characters from Scottish history have walked Crieff's streets, such as Rob Roy McGregor, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Robert Burns.
In January 2009, Balhousie Care Group were delighted to announce the completion of a major refurbishment and extension project at Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home, Crieff. Within walking distance of Crieff town centre, Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home provides nursing care for the elderly. The tasteful refurbishment of this 19th Century home increases the accommodation to 39 residents.
Work around the Crieff home includes an upgrading of facilities including a new laundry, kitchen and hairdressing salon, as well as the addition of new bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The new wing has been designed and built to allow residents to enjoy modern facilities while maintaining the character and features of the original building. Residents enjoy increased recreational space and access to the home has been greatly improved with a drive and parking facilities at the front of the building.
The refurbishment of Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home brings additional employment to Crieff and the surrounding area. Details of employment opportunities with Balhousie can be found at www.balhousiecare.co.uk/employment-opportunities.

Fee Information
Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £550 (the Local Authority rate) and £880 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
