More Information

The village of Methven lies 8km west of Perth amidst the rolling farmland of lowland Perthshire. This small village has many historical associations - Robert the Bruce was defeated nearby during his fight for Scottish independence. The present castle just east of the village. dates from the mid 17th Century and is one of the last traditional tower house style castles to be built in Scotland. It was a centre of flax growing and home based linen weaving in the 18th Century. Robert Stirling. who invented a highly efficient external combustion engine was born in Methven.

This friendly single storey residential home originally constructed in the 1980's is situated in Lynedoch Road off the main street Methven in a quiet residential area of the town. It has a secluded patio and garden which is well used and enjoyed by our residents.

Our experienced and well trained staff can provide residential care to a maximum of 14 residents.

Fee Information

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £474 (the Local Authority rate) and £525 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
