Balhousie Edzell was originally a hotel converted to a Care Home in early 2000. With the ability to care for both nursing and residential clients Edzell is a flexible and friendly home that became part of the Balhousie Care Group in 2006.

Our experienced and well trained staff can provide nursing and residential care to a maximum of 31 residents, all of whom enjoy en suite bedroom facilities to all 31 single rooms.

Fee Information

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £474 (the Local Authority rate) and £820 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
