The village of Methven lies approximately 5 miles west of Perth amidst the rolling farmland of lowland Perthshire. This small village has many historical associations - Robert the Bruce was defeated nearby during his fight for Scottish independence. The present castle just east of the village, dates from the mid 17th Century and is one of the last traditional tower house style castles to be built in Scotland.

This small friendly single storey care home is situated in College Road off the main street in Methven in a quiet residential area of the town. It has a well stocked and kept secluded garden, where our residents and their visitors are able to relax in the Edwardian conservatory and enjoy the surroundings.

Our experienced and well trained staff can provide care to a maximum of 15 residents, the majority of which have the added facility of en suite bedrooms.

Fee Information

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £474 (the Local Authority rate) and £525 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
