Originally built for family life and set in beautiful Auchterarder, Perthshire, just an hour from Glasgow and 45 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, Ruthven Towers today retains much of that important, homely feeling. Beyond the reception area, with its stained glass and grand staircase, our dining room and sitting room provide comfortable, elegant settings. There are fine views to the Ochil hills with surrounding well kept gardens and grounds, wonderful trees and a variety of wild life.

All bedrooms are en-suite. Some with bay windows and picturesque views. With the ability to care for both nursing and residential clients Ruthven Towers is a flexible and friendly home that became part of the Balhousie Care Group in September 2008.

Our experienced and well trained staff can provide nursing and residential care to a maximum of 44 residents.

Fee Information

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However, as a guide range from £550 (the Local Authority rate) and £730 per week for residents not funded by the local authority. All residents have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum but for example the supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and so on will incur a small additional charge.
