An unparalleled facility for men and women with learning disabilties, associated mental health issues and challenging behaviour.

Our newly constructed, purpose built facility, set in the grounds of our highly acclaimed Balhousie The Grange residential care home in Balbeggie, Perthshire.

Our intention and focus has been to have The Dalguise Centre recognised as the preferred facility in Scotland for men and women with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and associated health issues.

The Dalguise Centre offers skilled and dedicated nurse led care, with the expertise to provide initial placement assessment for the development and implementation of appropriate and personalised care strategies and interventions.

We strive to meet the rehabilitation needs of women and men with learning disabilities, associated mental health issues and challenging behaviour.

Using our holistic, multi-disciplinary, person centred approach, we aim to provide the necessary support and encouragement needed in order to assist each resident along their individual care pathway.

Once an individual has been admitted to The Dalguise Centre, tailored and extremely well thought through steps are taken to ensure that they derive the maximum benefit from the facility and the skills and understanding of our expert staff.

The ten private, modern bedrooms (five in each wing of The Dalguise Centre) have all been equipped with en-suite bathrooms fitted with appliances carefully chosen to ensure zero self-harm, and have attractive and peaceful views over beautifully landscaped gardens.

Two spacious and bright resident lounges have kitchenette facilities for residents use, and an already popular facility is the ‘Snoozelen Lounge’.

Our highly dedicated and sensitive nursing staff provides an unparalleled level of care, stimulation, support and encouragement. Using a holistic, multi-disciplinary, person-centred approach, we aim to provide the necessary technique to assist each resident along their own unique care pathway.

Fee Information

Our weekly fee rates for full residential care depend on individual circumstances, as all residents have specific care requirements and for example residents with higher dependency levels will incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. As a guide we anticipate that average fee levels within The Dalguise Centre will be in the region of £2000 per week.
