Purpose of the role: 

Working within our Care Home you will be a key member of the team and will help shape the Home’s approach to providing the highest standard of skilled personalised nursing care. You will be responsible for ensuring the high performance of a multi-disciplinary team. Supervising, training and developing care colleagues in providing the best quality of care to the people we support. This role would suit likeable, caring, enthusiastic and motivated candidates who are passionate and committed to serving our residents, their family and friends. Our shift patterns are flexible with days, nights and weekend working required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate our Residents’ health and social care needs
  • Create and maintain an environment in which all employees can contribute to providing a high standard of skilled nursing care and personalised support to each of our Residents
  • Help people live a full and enjoyable life within their own capabilities in the Home
  • Demonstrate excellence in the delivery of all clinical procedures related to Resident care
  • Ensure Nursing administrative processes are delivered efficiently to legislative requirements and accurate information is reported to the Home Manager
  • Take responsibility as the person in charge when required

Essential Qualities and Skills: 

  • A qualified Nurse (RGN or RMN), with an active NMC PIN number, or the ability to apply for PIN number within three months
  • Genuine interest in working with the relevant Resident group
  • Satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check
  • Strong team player, seen as a credible role model to all Employees
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts
  • Act with the utmost integrity at all times

 

Desired Qualities and Skills: 

  • Previous experience working in a residential care setting would be an advantage
  • Some previous supervisory experience would be beneficial
