  • We picked Ruthven Towers as it best suited the needs of George & Nina, that was a twin room. The home also got consistently good remarks whenever we spoke to anyone with knowledge in this sector.
As you are aware moving an elderly relative into care is no easy task and moving two doubly stressful. Having said that that the staff at Ruthven Towers could not have been more helpful and supportive, especially as George was moved in rather suddenly at a weekend. It seemed that all of the staff on duty were around to support and welcome them. Since then we have been delighted with the level of care they are receiving they seem to be settling in well. A mention needs to made about Vera, she has consistently been a fount of knowledge and information even when we are asking silly questions and she is obviously a first class carer, she and her team over the weekend were lovely.

I don't know that anything more could have been done by yourselves to assist them moving in and as a family we are hopeful that in six weeks everyone will be happy and they can remain in what appears to be the best residential home in the area.

I would just like to say what a fantastic job Jozi and her team are doing. Always a phone call away, for peace of mind for my mum, and how she is doing.

Nothing is ever a problem, and everyone will go out of their way to help and give you an update, which I think is important. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to do, to put my mum into a care home. I know for a fact without Jozi being there for me, it would have been so much more difficult.

For that, I thank her for. She goes up and beyond her job as a manager. She is caring, compassionate towards all her residents. I Would highly recommend anyone wanting to put their loved ones here. It is what I would call home from home!

A massive Thank you, to Jozi and her team, for looking after and caring for my mum. I appreciate all you all do for her.

I would say that my response to Claire’s residence in Ruthven Towers is very positive. I have seen nothing but kindness, courtesy and a real effort to make her as comfortable as possible. When she was in hospital she could not move one inch except in a wheelchair and the fact that she is now able to walk unaided speaks for itself. I also appreciate all the work that goes into her mental and physical stimulation and am grateful for the commitment of Lisa and the other staff to this work. Of course I would rather have her at home with me, but I believe she is in the place to which God has guided us.

Since I am now in my eighties and therefore could come to the end of my own earthly life at any time, it is good to know that Claire is somewhere safe and being looked after. From what I have seen so far, Ruthven Towers gets full marks.
