Residents of Balhousie Alastrean and staff headed for Milton of Crathes for a ride on the train, followed by ice cream. The sun was shining and the run along the banks of the River Dee was beautiful. The residents enjoyed a ride in the brake van and had a short history lesson on the original railway line to Ballater.
Back at the care home, everyone was still in holiday mood and enjoyed Ice Cream "Mundae", where the residents tucked into sundaes with chocolate flakes, complete with background music to give the atmosphere of an ice cafe in Italy.
