Residents of Balhousie Luncarty Care Home, celebrated VE day (8 May) with family, friends and staff. Luncarty staff marked the occasion by dressing up as land army girls & boys. Alex provided the music for the afternoon and a great day was had by all. One resident of Luncarty Care Home has particularly good reason to celebrate victory in Europe with the Normandy landings, as he was seriously wounded on that day and left for dead by the Germans. The brave soldier lay for 3 days amongst the dead and dying before being rescued. The resident shows the Manager and staff of Balhousie Luncarty his 5 bullet scars with great pride.

Words of appreciation...
- Almost immediately, Mum's health and sense of well being started to improve, due to the constant tender care she received from BalhousieDaughter of Resident at Balhousie North Inch Care Home
- The thing I most enjoy is the interaction with residents and family members. Being part of a team that delivers high quality care, often in the latter years of an individual's life, while trying to promote their independence is a big responsibility. I think it's hugely important to be able to make that time as easy and comfortable as possible. Manager, Balhousie Lisden Care Home
- What Balhousie Care staff did was beyond the call of duty and we appreciate the work that made Mum's birthday special, even though we had to help her with the blowing out of the candles! Daughter of Resident at Balhousie North Inch Care Home
The goal of Balhousie Care Group is to be acknowledged as the leading and most admired provider of residential care in Scotland.
