Join us in wishing Huntly resident Leonie Gordon a very happy 100th birthday.

Leonie was born in Strathdon and was the second youngest of five children. On leaving her family home, Leonie went on to be a cook in the RAF, preparing upwards of 100 meals three times a day. After World War 2 ended, Leonie went on to work for Southern Eastern Electricity Board in Faversham. Having never married or having children of her own, Leonie is an avid animal lover and always treated her dogs and cats like family. Into her retirement, Leonie has always enjoyed gardening including growing her own vegetables.

What a remarkable lady.  Happy 1ooth birthday Leonie!
