Respite & Special Care

Often we are asked to look after a resident with extremely challenging special needs, both physical and mental.

Balhousie Care Group can provide a number of options to ensure residents with this level of complexity of care can be accommodated and looked after professionally, sensitively and appropriately. Many of our specially trained and qualified staff are fully conversant with the challenges and procedures for these residents

Caring for the elderly or the infirm in the community can cause stress levels in the person caring.

It really is vital for carers to ensure their own care and health is looked after too.

We are also able to offer respite care to carers - and mentally.

Proving a break for carers.

Providing support, physical care and emotional care for carers is an often overlooked but very vital aspect of caring.

The demands of coping with or supporting a loved one at home or in the community can leave the carer(s) drained and at times unable to cope. Balhousie Care Group understands this, and can provide short term residential care for the person being cared for to allow the carer to re-charge their energies and abilities.

Talk to us confidentially about respite care, confident in the knowledge that we really understand the pressure and the challenges carers are exposed to.

Getting a much needed break can actually lead to you being able to care even more by ensuring you re-charge - both physically and mentally.

If you have a specific question about the range or level of specialist care available at Balhousie Care homes, please let us know the care needs you're looking for and one of our care team will be back in touch with you.
