Respite Care

Here at Balhousie Care, we understand that caring for a loved one, although rewarding, can be challenging and tiring. Everybody needs some time-off to recharge and we appreciate you will only be able to relax when you know your loved one is happy, safe and cared-for.

This type of care need is called 'Respite Care'. Many of our homes offer this form of care and our highly trained and experienced staff offer both planned and emergency respite care.

Types of Respite Care Available

Care can be arranged for residential, nursing, Dementia and Alzheimer's care. We also provide respite for adults with disabilities and specialist care for people with conditions such as Parkinson's, Huntington's and people who are physically disabled.

Personalised Care Plans

As with all our care plans, respite care is based on an individual assessment and will of course complement and work in tandem with the care provided by your own Doctor or other community health professional on an ongoing basis if needed.

Please enquire at the care home of your choice about the availability of respite, holiday's and short breaks. We will discuss your needs, the services available to you and how we can meet your care needs and requirements.
