I’m Jan Robertson and I have the joy of being care home manager of one of the newest care homes in the Balhousie Care Group.
Opened in 2011, Balhousie Clement Park Care Home takes its name from the well known and neighbouring local historic landmark, Clement House Mansion, which the jute baron James Cox built and named after his wife Clementina.
All of our public rooms, dining rooms and lounges take their name from the history of the building that used to stand on the spot where our home was built on, or from the name of famous links to the area, located in the popular residential Lochee area in the West of Dundee, very close to all local amenities – shops, cafes, banks, Post Offices and churches

Caring for the diet of our residents and making sure they have nutritious meals is an area where you'll find our managers, our staff and most importantly our chefs extremely engaged and active.
The catering and hospitality services teams at Balhousie Care Group are constantly looking at ways we can improve our food and refreshment offerings. Recently, new menus have been introduced that have a greater content of fresh, local produce. This is part of an ongoing process of reviewing and responding to resident requests for more variety and choice.
In addition to the availability through the day of favourites such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, our residents are also encouraged to drink a healthy amount of other fluids, including a special range of tasty squashes and refreshing fruit drinks to aid their hydration. This also makes a valuable contribution to bladder health and fitness.
By prior arrangement close family or relatives can join us at lunch or evening time to see for themselves just how tasty mealtimes at a Balhousie Care home can be.

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However as a guide, fees range from £550 (the Local Authority rate) per week. Residents may have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum. The supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and other ancillary items will incur a small additional charge.

Care Home Overview
Our newly built care facility is designed to provide our residents with a spacious, comfortable and safe environment – something visitors see and sense immediately.
Light, tastefully decorated bedrooms and common areas, wide corridors and generously proportioned en-suite bathrooms to all bedrooms are outstanding features of this very modern design home.
The home is set amongst secure, enclosed and beautifully landscaped gardens. Our architects designed Balhousie Clement Park care home to be energy efficient. Using natural light throughout its design to the maximum effect as well as sustainable materials specified during its construction helps achieve a high sustainability rating. Inside, residents have full lift access to all floors and the home is wheelchair friendly throughout. Residents have the choice of taking their meals in their own rooms or join other residents in one of the four lounge/dining areas and mix with other residents and visitors in our communal activity room. In the warmer weather, residents can enjoy sitting in the landscaped gardens overlooking the well kept rolling lawns.
