Balhousie Coupar Angus is a positive, caring environment driven by a desire to provide a truly holistic and enabling approach. This is our prime focus and it makes my job so interesting and enjoyable.

Every resident has an initial individual assesment of her or his needs and this is continually reviewed and re-assessed. We are committed to treating every resident with respect and providing the appropriate, sensitive care. Seeing residents blossom as our approach brings out the best in them and for them is an absolute joy - and this is something that my staff and I find most rewarding.

I’m sure you can also imagine that having a brand new care home to look after, fitted out with comfortable new beds, tasteful floor coverings and furniture and soft furnishings is a great thrill to us all. We are extremely proud and excited to be part of the latest Balhousie Care home to be opened in Scotland.

Caring for the diet of our residents and making sure they have nutritious meals is an area where you'll find our managers, our staff and most importantly our chefs extremely engaged and active.

The catering and hospitality services teams at Balhousie Care Group are constantly looking at ways we can improve our food and refreshment offerings. Recently, new menus have been introduced that have a greater content of fresh, local produce. This is part of an ongoing process of reviewing and responding to resident requests for more variety and choice.

In addition to the availability through the day of favourites such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, our residents are also encouraged to drink a healthy amount of other fluids, including a special range of tasty squashes and refreshing fruit drinks to aid their hydration. This also makes a valuable contribution to bladder health and fitness.

By prior arrangement close family or relatives can join us at lunch or evening time to see for themselves just how tasty mealtimes at a Balhousie Care home can be.
