01382 480899Moyness Care Home Dundee – Classic Collection
I’m Terry Banks, Care Home Manager of Balhousie Moyness. The home is approximately one mile from the town centre which provides an abundance of quality shops and services. The town remains a popular regional holiday destination and is a pleasant waterfront suburb of Dundee.
Many of the impressive features of the original home still dominate the character of Balhousie Moyness, including the impressive wood panelling, high ceilings with deep carved covings and elegant bay windows looking over the surrounding substantial gardens. The house has a very definite feel of grandeur and yet is still very homely.
Residents have a choice of relaxing in the spacious grand lounge or the bright and airy sun lounge, and meals are served in the large, traditional style dining room. When the weather allows, residents can also relax outside on the sun terrace which overlooks the extensive manicured lawns.
Myself and my team would be delighted to welcome you in person at our care home and show you around. To arrange a visit or to find out more, please call 01382 480899 or contact me online.

Caring for the diet of our residents and making sure they have nutritious meals is an area where you'll find our managers, our staff and most importantly our chefs extremely engaged and active.
The catering and hospitality services teams at Balhousie Care Group are constantly looking at ways we can improve our food and refreshment offerings. Recently, new menus have been introduced that have a greater content of fresh, local produce. This is part of an ongoing process of reviewing and responding to resident requests for more variety and choice.
In addition to the availability through the day of favourites such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, our residents are also encouraged to drink a healthy amount of other fluids, including a special range of tasty squashes and refreshing fruit drinks to aid their hydration. This also makes a valuable contribution to bladder health and fitness.
By prior arrangement close family or relatives can join us at lunch or evening time to see for themselves just how tasty mealtimes at a Balhousie Care home can be.

Our weekly fee rates for full nursing care depend on individual circumstances. However as a guide, fees range from £550 (the Local Authority rate) per week. Residents may have specific care requirements and residents with higher dependency levels may incur additional fees. It is not possible to predetermine exact fee levels until a full assessment has been undertaken, following which residents will be provided with clear documentation outlining fees chargeable for their care. Charges for extras are kept to a minimum. The supply of personal newspapers, provision of hairdressing and other ancillary items will incur a small additional charge.
